Flour Supplies and More Bread

Yesterday saw a trip to the velodrome in Newport with a return journey via Shipton Mill. The perfect combination of bread and bikes. The velodrome was great as usual but having never been to Shipton Mill I was intrigued to see what I would find. What I left with was 7 kg of new flour and a new book, and that made me very happy.

Upgrading to Single Speed

Following the trend of upgrading (baking stone) I have taken on a new project, to upgrade my commuting bike, to a single speed. So I bought a new chainset and a converter and set about making a single speed.

Tacx T1000 Rollers

So I have been waiting a few days to write this entry. Basically the new rollers arrived just after the track bike, but I didn’t want to write a report until I had actually properly tested them. The first step was to actually work out how to use them properly, without falling off.

First Outing

As was hoped we managed to get down to Newport velodrome this morning for their drop in session, giving me the chance to take the new Felt TK3 for a spin. It was fantastic, everything I had hoped.

New Bike For The Stable

Yesterday saw the arrival of my new bike, a 2011 Felt TK3 track bike, in pearl white.

Like a kid at Christmas I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Buying from E-Bay there is always a risk, but this arrived in perfect condition, hand delivered my the previous owner, and I couldn’t be happier.
